Information Security Specialist (ISS)
Our client has a direct placement, full time employment opportunity for an Information Security Specialist (ISS) in the Marshall, VA area.
The selected candidate will provide engineering, design, and sustainment security support to an enterprise IT infrastructure over several disparate sites.
The ISS is responsible for supporting the Project Management Organization (PMO) in the design, testing, evaluation, maintenance, and optimization of the customer networks.
Responsibilities, tasks & deliverables include, but are not limited to:
(1) Ensures the establishment and satisfaction of IA and security requirements based upon analysis of user, policy, regulatory and resource demands (2) Evaluations of major information security networks.
Prepares evaluation reports and recommendations (3) Conducts trade off analyses of products for clients to determine optimal informant security solutions (4) Evaluating and implementing IA tools for assessing and maintaining system security within the Defense Information Infrastructure (5) Performing analyses to ensure threat assessments, protection, detection, and reaction functions are performed (6) Managing and implementing DOD information security, communications-computer systems security and industrial security policies and procedures (7) Implement DOD network compliance validation and inspection procedures (8) Analyze general information assurance related technical problems and provide basic engineering and technical support in solving these problems (9) Performing vulnerability/risk analysis of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development lifecycle (10) Develop standardized certification and accreditation baselines Are you interested in learning more about this opportunity?
